Local 20 is the voice of health care and social services in Illinois and Indiana. We represent health care and social service employeess of many job classifications. Our members provide vital services Illinois and Indiana residents rely on. We care for your children, our seniors, parents, and provide a host of other important services.
SEIU Local 20 is a part of SEIU Healthcare, the national union for nurses and healthcare workers, and part of the Service Employees International Union (SEIU). Launched in June of 2007, SEIU Healthcare unites more than one million nurses and healthcare workers within the hospital, nursing home, and homecare industries.
The national union is dedicated to ensuring the highest quality of care for every patient, fixing our broken healthcare system, and improving the lives of healthcare workers, their families, and their communities.
Working together, nurses and healthcare workers are leading a national effort to:
